Scope

Limitation of resources, their rising cost, the unpredictability of their availability, force managers to adapt their processes by adding to them more flexibility, reconfigurability in order to limit the consumption of energy, the use of their processing units...

This sustainable use of resources is an issue that can be met in a large range of domains (environmental, social, economical), at different levels; for example the minimization of drones move in a patrol, the optimal use of machines in a production cell, the reorganization of elements of a manufacturing system to minimize the makespan, the reorganization of exchanges between power plants to fulfill the needs, ...

The agent technology is a recognized and promising approach to address this current challenge of resource green management, introducing an alternative way to design control systems based on the decentralization of control functions over autonomous and cooperative entities.

This session is seeking contributions providing methods, tools, techniques, experiences, demonstrations and roadmaps that will help the developers and the Industry to assess the use of the cooperative agent technology in the management of sustainable distributed systems.


Topics

We seek contributions providing methods, tools, techniques, experiences, demonstrations and roadmaps that will help the developers and the Industry to assess the use of the cooperative agent technology in the management of sustainable distributed systems.

Specifically, the special session topics include, but are not limited to:

  • cooperative resource sharing,
  • models of cooperation and coordination for autonomous agents,
  • models of management of sustainable distributed systems,
  • multiagent models for management of green supply chain,
  • predicting and controlling emergence of behavior in multi-agent systems,
  • delegation tasks, reconfiguration tasks in multi-agent systems,
  • applications: power and energy systems, sustainable industrial systems and services, etc.
