Persuasive technologies are an interdisciplinary field of research that focuses on the design and development of interactive technologies that can create, maintain or change the thinking and human behavior using persuasion techniques. Persuasive technologies have recently emerged as a new discipline, with the potential to affect all aspects of the way in which people interact with computers. In this course, we will look at the variety of ways in which persuasion occurs through the use of Artificial Intelligence techniques. These ways may vary from the effects of social media, to use in applications like mobile services for healthcare delivery and persuasive games.
